Opus Plasma Skin Resurfacing & Tightening

Opus Plasma Skin Resurfacing & Rejuvenation

Resurface. Tighten. Smooth. Renew. ✨

Opus Plasma is an advanced fractional radiofrequency (RF) and plasma skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve the overall appearance, texture, and firmness of the skin. The technology creates controlled micro-injuries while delivering RF energy, triggering the body's natural healing response and encouraging the production and remodeling of collagen and elastin.

Unlike a facial that primarily works at the surface, Opus Plasma is designed to address multiple signs of skin aging and damage while allowing your provider to customize the intensity of treatment based on your skin, goals, and desired downtime.

What Can Opus Plasma Help Treat?

Opus Plasma may be recommended to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven or rough texture, enlarged pores, acne scars and other textural scarring, mild skin laxity, crepey skin, sun-damaged skin, and overall skin quality.

It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or incorporated into a customized aesthetic treatment plan when medically appropriate.

What Does the Treatment Feel Like?

Your provider will cleanse and prepare the treatment area before beginning. Depending on the treatment plan, a topical numbing medication may be applied beforehand for comfort.

During treatment, the Opus Plasma handpiece is passed across the skin in a controlled pattern. Clients commonly describe the sensation as warmth, heat, prickling, or brief snapping sensations.

Treatment intensity is customized. A lighter treatment may involve less downtime, while a more aggressive resurfacing treatment may produce a stronger skin response and require additional recovery time.

BEFORE YOUR OPUS PLASMA APPOINTMENT

Your provider will give you personalized instructions based on your skin and medical history. In general:

  • Avoid tanning, tanning beds, and excessive sun exposure before treatment.
  • Do not arrive with a sunburn or actively irritated skin.
  • Avoid self-tanner on the treatment area.
  • Arrive with clean skin without makeup, lotions, oils, or other topical products.
  • Your provider may instruct you to temporarily discontinue retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, or other irritating active skincare products before treatment.
  • Tell your provider about all medications, supplements, prescription skincare, recent procedures, and medical conditions.
  • Tell us if you have a history of cold sores or herpes outbreaks, especially when treating around the mouth.
  • Inform your provider of any implanted electronic or metal devices and any recent injectable or energy-based treatments.
  • Do not discontinue prescription medication unless instructed to do so by the prescribing healthcare professional.

Your treatment may need to be postponed if the treatment area has an active infection, open wound, significant irritation, or sunburn.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

Immediately afterward, the skin may look and feel similar to a sunburn. Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, dryness, tightness, and sensitivity can occur.

Depending on treatment intensity, you may also notice tiny pinpoint marks or a rough, sandpaper-like texture as the skin begins its natural renewal process.

These responses are expected to vary from person to person.

AFTERCARE

For the first several days:

  • Keep the treated area clean and follow the skincare instructions provided by your medical professional.
  • Do not pick, scratch, peel, or exfoliate treated skin.
  • Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, exfoliants, and other potentially irritating products until your provider clears you to resume them.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and very hot showers, during the initial healing period.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise as directed by your provider.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning.
  • Once appropriate for your stage of healing, use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and continue diligent sun protection.
  • Makeup and your normal skincare routine should only be resumed according to your provider's instructions.

Your provider may modify these instructions depending on the intensity and location of your treatment.

When Will I See Results?

Skin improvement is a process rather than an overnight change. Some clients notice improvements after their skin has healed, while collagen remodeling may continue for weeks to months following treatment.

The number of treatments needed varies. Some clients may benefit from a series of Opus Plasma treatments to achieve their desired level of correction.

Important Safety Information

Opus Plasma is a medical aesthetic treatment and is not appropriate for everyone. A consultation and medical screening are required to determine whether you are a candidate.

Be sure to disclose your complete medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, history of abnormal scarring or keloids, active skin conditions or infections, cold sores, recent procedures, and any implanted medical or electronic devices.

Potential side effects can include redness, swelling, tenderness, discomfort, dryness, crusting, pinpoint marks, changes in pigmentation, prolonged irritation, infection, scarring, or other skin reactions. Although uncommon, more significant complications are possible.

Contact your provider promptly if you experience increasing or severe pain, significant swelling, blistering, drainage, signs of infection, unusual discoloration, or symptoms that are worsening rather than improving.

The Glam & Unique Approach 💜

Your skin isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is your treatment.

Every Opus Plasma treatment begins with an evaluation of your skin, medical history, concerns, and aesthetic goals. Your medical professional will determine whether Opus Plasma is appropriate for you and recommend the treatment intensity and number of sessions that best fit your individualized plan.

Consultation required. Individual results and downtime vary. No aesthetic procedure can guarantee a specific result. Treatment recommendations and eligibility are determined by the treating medical professional.
